Sex, Cameras and Hip Hop?

I was searching the net and I came across this video of video chicks interviewing Rappers on various sex issues.

How the hell did we as women allowed ourselves to become nothing but ass and titties in the Hip Hop industry. (Did I miss something)

Is sex in hip hop played out?

I wonder how many Std's are running rampant in the Hip Hop industry. I know somebody ass is burning.

The Maple syrup diet and Me

Yes, yes, yes I tried it but in a modify version. I did it for more for the cleansing benefits rather than weight loss. However weight loss did occur…10 pounds exactly. Here are the directions I followed;

10 Day Cleanse

Ingredients
Lemons
Organic grade B Maple syrup
Uniodized sea salt
Spring/purified water
Smooth Move ( cleansing herbal tea)
Cayenne pepper

I got my ingredients from the whole foods store. In which I love but got damn its expensive (I need to do more research on this organic craze…do we really need it?)

Morning Routine -Drink the saline rinse, 32 oz water 2tsp uniodized sea salt
Throughout the day, Drink 6-12 glasses of cleansing lemonade
8 oz. water
½ lemon
Pinch cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons of syrup
Evening Drink, Drink a cup of smooth move herbal tea

Ok in short this is how my cleanse went:
The first day I was so pumped to try this cleanse I could not wait to drink my salt water, lemonade concoction and do the damn thing. I told my self that I would fast in the morning and eat a good salad at night.
Well I did not quite go like that …I did fast in the morning but at night I ate chicken tenders, chocolate chips cookies and a salad on a side. I did feel bad but I trick myself into believing that I could eat what I wanted because I was making up for miss calories. However after the first couple a days I got my mind right and laid off the fattening foods. Around 9:00pm I drunk my smooth move herbal tea and relaxed.
5:35 in Morning I woke up with crazy, thunderous movements in my bowels and release everything form the high heavens. Whoa and this lasted until noon. Every 20 min I was running to the bathroom. This lasted for about 4 days. Then it got to the point that I was going every hour in the morning.

I could not bring myself to just drinking the lemonade concoction …I mean come on now that is just plain starvation. Plus my good friend Pretty P always says, “I don’t wont to loose weight by eating things I don’t like and starving, I just want to modify my diet”. I agree plus all I could think about was if I starve my self on this diet the next time I eat I’m going to gain all that weight back and I just could not do that to my thighs.
So I ate lunch and dinner mostly salads with lean meats and snacked on nuts and fruits.

All in all I felt good once I finish (I only did it for 7days). I felt lighter, weight loss, my skin was flawless, I was more cautious about the food I was eating, plus I been regular ever since. So I’m good and I’m going to implant this cleanse in my life probably doing it twice a year.

If you want to know more holla at me and if you decide to do this cleanse, modify it to your likening. Some days I would omit the tea and salt water other days I would fast for longer periods of time. But the most important fact is stay near the bathroom!!!!!

Should Ex-Offenders have the right to vote?

This previous Saturday I ran across a BET news special, "Locked Out: Ex Cons & The Vote". (Side note: Shouts out to BET there programing has gotten much better over the years). Any who after watching the special I formulated my own opinion about this subject. Yes I do believe that ex-offenders should keep there right to vote but this comes with some simulations. Murders, child molesters, rapist should loose their right but those with drug charges and other petty offenses should keep theirs. However, it should only be reastated after they remain crime free for a certain amount of years. What Do You think? Below is the link (I'm still trying to figure out how to post some videos).

Its All About Me

Wow so I’m finally getting off of my lazy ass and creating my first post. (Breath) OK before I start putting some meat to this site I decided I should let you guys know a little about the Kid. I’m probably going to go real fast so please read the disclaimer before you move on…..Now that we got that out the way let’s get to it.

My name is Civil Jones …I got this name when I was about 16 I use to run with a group of chicas and we called ourselves Sista Souljah. Real rowdy butch of girls and out of all of them most people said I was more of the civilize one. Hence the name Civil and Jones is my last name. Also I use to study with the 5 Percenters and that was my new born name (More on that later). So to some it all up, I call myself Civil Jones because I'm a balance of what the hip culture is missing commercialism and conscience ...One day you might catch me rocking a dashiki with fro or a hair weave and gold teeth.

I like to think of myself as the queen of all positive media (you got to speak your destiny into existences). I have been in the game for about 10years and for the most part I done everything I wanted to do up to this point. I been on radio, interview a couple of celebrities, created my own Internet show Urban Voices and now it is time to do bigger and better things.

I produced a documentary “Even a Man Can Do This” a two part documentary showcasing the dedication and sacrifices that women in the Baltimore Hip Hop scene experience, while dealing with today's music industry. One part offers a behind the scene look at me, Documentarien /Radio Personality Civil Jones as I embark on my second annual all female Hip Hop show case. The second part presents an in depth look on what females really think about the issues facing women in the music industry as told through the voices of women from the Baltimore Hip Hop Community.

So that's just a little bit of info right there, any thing else you wanna know holla at me.

About this blog...I can't really label it what ever I find fascinating I'll blog about, whatever artist sign or unsigned that's worth mentioning, I'll blog about, where ever I go in the world I'll blog about, politics, entertainment, fashion , music whatever is clever I'll blog about.
